...oops. :)

OK, so I fail on keeping up on my blog. Not to many exciting things have happened to me...I'm not married, engaged, pregnant, or anything exciting. Just being in love its self is exciting to me. ;) My last post was about Pride in June. Hence, I haven't updated in 2 months. So here it is.
I recently purchased a dirt bike. I really wanted a four wheeler, but bikes are cheaper and Ryley can fix them a little better. We've gone riding 3 times so far...not much time to go lately. But I love it so far!

I had my birthday "party" in Las Vegas with Ry, my Mommy, and our good friend Ali. It was a memorable trip and had a lot of fun times. I turned 22 so there's nothing really exciting about it. Except for in 3 years I can rent a car...yay...

My cousin Aaron proposed to his girlfriend (one of my good friends, also)  Kenzie. So that was one real exciting thing I guess. The ring is beautiful and her dress....brilliant. I'm pretty sure I love weddings, helping, watching, going, anything and everything about them!

Oh, one more motorcycle. Ry claims its not a "bullet bike" but it looks close enough to one. I'm still trying to get used to the sick feeling I get every time he talks about it, or makes me go out and watch him work on it. ahh.. scary. But I figured that we aren't married...yet. And he should be able to spend his money on whatever his heart desires now. Cause that will not fly when I want a new mini van for all the kids he will provide me with. ;D

I'm still working with my Aunt doing Preschool Day Camp. This is the last week, and I'm a little bummed. Not only because I can't hang out with little kids, and make cool projects. But it means I need to get a real job. lame. Getting old isn't as fun as I thought it would be. This is Leah, she is smart and knows her ABC's. Oh, and the little girl in the back. Kate, she's trying to get the turtles attention.

I've been looking into mortgage loans and houses lately...Even though I am TERRIFIED of getting loans, and money itself. But I think that buying a house is my next big purchase that I need to start planning now. So if anyone knows of single family homes from Roy to Bountiful area. lemme know!

As for my traveling plans, nothing really has been set in stone. In March Ryley, my mom, brother, and I are heading to Oahu for a week. Staying on Bellows Air Force Station.. So like, southeastern side? Something like that. I'm really excited to introduce Ryley to my family on that side. He's finally got down my Moms side of the family, so its time for my Dads side! I am excited to bring someone I love so much to a place I love! I don't get to go there often, but I love knowing that when I'm there I have family and it feels more like home. OK, lets be honest. I'm more excited for the food. But hey, wouldn't be?

Pride

This month is Gay Pride. So in the spirit I went to the parade they hold every year in Salt Lake City with Monica Firth. (boyfriends mom) I didn't go for the "status" or to put pictures up on Facebook so everyone knew I went there. I went to support my friends and family. My boyfriends younger brother Zack, came out to his parents a couple years ago. I had a chance to walk around with him and his boyfriend Max at the mall and was so angry at all the people staring and judging. I would stare right back at them and didn't understand why Zack never said anything to them. I realize now. He's proud to be who he is, and people cant judge him for that. The shirts that the mothers wore during Gay Pride said: Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind.- Dr. Seuss. Brilliant!

 Samantha, Monica, and Jackie

The LDS group
The parade was started off with the Grand Marshal, But who followed was what was really amazing. A woman started a group called Mormons Building Bridges, an LDS group supporting Gays, Lesbians, Bisexuals, and Transgenders. I've never heard a crowd cheer so loud for group in a parade! They marched in their Sunday Best and it was brutally hot. Monica was so overwhelmed with all the supporters and I think it may have been comforting knowing that there were other people supporting their gay sons, lesbian daughters etc...

Her sign says: I will walk with you, I will talk with you, thats how I'll show my love for you.

The best part was seeing Zack being himself with the people he loves.

I love being who I am and I love surrounding myself with the people I love. I'm so lucky to have an amazing family, a loving boyfriend (and his family), and understanding friends. I wouldn't change the person I am ever. And I hope more people would come to understand that people are just finding love, doesn't matter what sex they are. If they are as happy as I am, then I think its only fair to be able to marry the person you love. :)

Summer 2012

So, I've had a blog before but I never followed up on it. I felt that now that everyone is getting older and having kids, getting married, moving around the world I should share a little bit about whats going on with me for those who care. I do have a Facebook, but I don't like when people post novels as their status so I try to avoid it. My life isn't interesting...no kids, not married, blah blah...But I'm new to all this so I hope that people can help me figure it out. :) On that note...Here I go!

Starting off the Summer the RIGHT way! Last year I disappeared to Catalina Island working for a boy scout camp. Yes, it was fun. No, I wouldn't do it again. This summer I have so many new exciting adventures waiting for me. I'm turning 22 and I have the world at my feet. I'm working with my Aunt helping her with Preschool, and Day Camp. I never realized how TIRING children are! I have a lot of cousins, but I can tell them to grow up and stop crying. But with other peoples kids I have to try and figure out why Sadie took Rykers' blocks. Or why Crete is crying? Because someone sat on the same circle of carpet he was sitting on. BUT, I do have a great time playing, and listening to the kids. Day Camp will be a lot more fun. I can't wait!

I recently got baby chicks as a gift from my boyfriend Ryley. We got 4 of them, and now they are almost all full grown! One of the things Ryley loves to do is build things. So, we bought a bunch of wood and we built a chicken coop. It turned out amazing!! I was impressed, and Ryley was excited for it to FINALLY be done. My Aunt had chickens too, but all of them died except for one. And well, if chickens don't have other chickens they will die. So I took it home with me and put it with the others! So hopefully we will be getting a ton of eggs! We have 2 Ameraucana, 2 Silver Laced, and 1 Rhode Island Red. They're beautiful. The Ameraucanas will lay Easter egg colored eggs! Currently the animal count has increased...3 tortoises, 4 dogs, and 5 chickens.  I hope one day I will have a giant farm!

The home for the chickens. NO this wasn't a kit that we bought. Ryley measured and cut everything. I just screwed in the screws and made his life more complicated. :)
